Trina, we could use some rain, would you like to camp at my house for a couple of days? It is getting very dry down our way, we barely have any grass left. I have not made any apple butter yet, but that does sound good. I bought some pears tonight so I can mush them up for Emerson. If you have ever read the ingredients on a baby food container you would think twice about feeding it to your child, too. All of the gerber organic food is just fruit and water, nothing else. If it is regular food, then there are all kinds of other things added, like sugar, and stuff I cannot spell. I bought some peach baby food the other day and then I read the label when I got home. Why can't it be just peaches? It is such a shame. So, I am going to go the farmers market and get some peaches and make my own peach baby food.
Trina, where is your blog?
I said in my heart, "I am sick of four walls and a ceiling. I have need of the sky. I have business with the grass." -Richard Hovey
A moody child and wildly wise
Pursued the game with joyful eyes,
Which chose, like meteors, their way,
and rived the dark with private ray
They overleapt the horizon's edge,
Searched with Apollos privilege;
Through man, and woman, and sea, and star.
Saw the dancer of nature forward far,
Through worlds, and races, and terms, and times
Saw a musical order, and pairing rhymes.

Kiah's Birthday Party
On May 10th we drove to Chattanooga for our friends' babies first birthday party. Emerson had a great time. They had a baby pool and a slip and slide. Our other friend David was there with his twins. Daniel and Olivia played with Emerson in the baby pool. I think Emerson really liked having kids his size to play with.
Getting ready for more.

Chugga Chugga Choo Choo
Well, I have resurfaced. It has been a long time.
Emerson has recently found a love for trains. Choo Choo is his favorite word. That and he likes to quack like a duck. Todd and I took Emerson to see this train caboose. It is parked in Clemson University's botanical garden.

I just got the lake in my front yard to recede! The dark cloud over my head has been working overtime here in IL. We do need to get out that way though. Let me know how the weather is this winter and maybe I can use it for my Seasonal Affective Disorder therapy.
You know I was raised on mostly pure homemade foods as a child. And since Emerson obviously gets his looks from me, it is probably wise to closely follow how I was raised in the hopes of him getting my other steller traits.
I cannot have a blog because I do not need written evidence to be used against me in court.
Go Stacy, organic is the way to go. It's alot of work but you have much more confidence it what is going on in there. I think I will do that when I have kids as well. Just make a bunch at one time and freeze it. It will probably be harder in the winter but some is better than none.
You can't just change your format and not put anything new on there!!!
